Growing Spirit Young Entrepreneurs, PT Pertamina Lubricants Launch "Enduro Entrepreneurship Program"

Jakarta - PT Pertamina Lubricants, through Sales Region III of DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java region launched a two-wheeled vehicle business entrepreneurship program for Vocational High School (SMK) students majoring in automotive called "Enduro Entrepreneurship Program", which was inaugurated by Sales Region Manager III Arief Haryanto along with management board and with representatives of vocational students at PT Pertamina Lubricants Head Office.

Enduro Entrepreneurship Program (EEP) is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that aims to create added value for society and company (Creating Shared Value/CSV) of PT Pertamina Lubricants which aims to develop young entrepreneurs rapidly yet continuously through various stages for less than three months.

EEP consists of the softskill and hardskill training and will be joined by 63 outstanding students from 21 vocational schools in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi areas that have strong interest and dream to build independent business through the workshop. Students will be formed into 21 teams based on their own schools, consisting of alumni and active students in the final year of vocational school. This program will be implemented from October 25, 2017 to January 10, 2018.

The EEP program also an acceleration of the Enduro Student Program (ESP) which has been launched in several cities such as Cilacap, Gresik, and Lamongan as well as in Bojonegoro, Tuban and Cepu areas,” said Fitri Erika Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Lubricants.

EEP provides a hands-on learning experience that touches both technical and non-technical aspects of the two-wheeler world in various stages.

Phase one (1) is an incubation period where participants will be given training and soft training from the best mentors in their field either from PT Pertamina Lubricants or from experienced practitioners and academics. Participants will be given insights on entrepreneurship training, environment/safety workshop and safety training, character building training, public relations and communication training, creative thinking training, sales and marketing training, product knowledge, and will be brought to visit Pertamina factory in Jakarta to know the process of making lubricants.

Phase two (2) is a competition phase where participants will be challenged to create an idea and business plan that will be combined with the third phase. During the process, the EEP will select five (5) teams with the best idea to be included in the third stage process (3) called the “Bootcamp”, where the participants will proceed with hardskill training at the Industrial Work Training Center (BLKI) and invited to work directly through work experience (Internship) in the workshop of PT Pertamina Lubricants partners in Jabodetabek area. In this stage, the five teams will be provided with the capital of independent workshop inkind such as workshop equipment, spareparts, lubricants with the assessment and ranking of the team. It is expected that this venture capital can support participants in creating new workshops in accordance with their dreams and business ideas.

Phase four (4) involves business coaching with the top five best teams which will be given deeper mentorship in business planning/business plan self-service workshop. Not only that, from the 5 teams, 3 teams with the best ranking will also be given business capital in the form of Enduro Express Workshop/Branding workshop for each Vocational School with the aim to use the workshop available at school as a business practice lab independently.

Arif continued that the program is in line with CSR commitment of PT Pertamina Lubricants, in collaboration with partners, to support autonomous Indonesian young workers in the automotive field. With this program, the independence of future generations can be sustained in a sustainable manner where participants can continue to build their dreams, open jobs, build the local economy and become inspirators to their peers.
